Welcome to our Parish

The Church of St. Michael and St. Peter is a Catholic community committed to the Word and example of Jesus Christ.  We seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of the Father as we support the local and world community.  Sharing our lives and our gifts, we seek to build a parish family rooted in faith, hope and love.

We hope you’ll be able to attend our fun family Kid’s Carnival for Haiti.

All funds raised support our twin parish,

The Church of the Immaculate Conception.

The people of Chauffard face great challenges in 2017. The October hurricane destroyed most of their crops and many families lost both their animals and their homes. Along with our commitment to fund the school lunch program for the 5 schools in and around Chauffard, we help pay the salaries for the 39 teachers and the 9 women who prepare the meals in big pots over open fires. The cost of the school lunch program is $5,000 monthly, and we send $1,000 per month for the 48 staff members. We would like to send more money for the teachers, but are still funding the rebuilding of the clinic. The school lunch program will be essential to maintaining the students’ health this year. Families will struggle more than ever to feed their children with no crops to sell or eat.
